I am an Arab-American Muslim, the eldest daughter of Syrian immigrants, and a proud Memphian. I graduated from Rhodes College with a degree in international studies and political science and a minor in Middle East and Islamic studies. Having lived in Aleppo, Syria under an authoritarian regime for seven years, I am passionate about empowering the Arab world and Arab people, in particular, through mutually beneficial U.S. foreign policy.
