As the Director of Admissions and Marketing of the skilled nursing facility, I am responsible for managing the customer flow, admissions process and marketing program for the skilled nursing facility by assuring strong customer, referrer, and payor satisfaction; appropriate market penetration; positive public image; maximization of center profitability and census goals. I am responsible for coordinating the admission of residents from surrounding hospitals, or other healthcare agencies to the facility, while managing referrals and using my knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage plans and other commercial insurance. I facilitate the authorization process through insurance companies using ICD-10 codes to start the healthcare revenue cycle to ensure successful reimbursement. I work closely with administrators, nursing staff, social workers, clinical representatives, and families to ensure exceptional customer service and admission experience for customer and family. I am dedicated to attaining and sustaining a full census in our facility.
