ABOUT MARIAM JEDDA
As a green energy consultant at UNDP, I support the deployment of sustainable energy solutions in developing areas, while completing an MSc in Energy Systems at the University of Oxford. My primary focus lies in developing solutions that drive the energy transition whilst decarbonising existing energy systems.Professionally, my work has centred on translating market and technical data into actionable insights that inform energy investment and implementation strategies. Notably, I began my journey by shaping Oman’s National Hydrogen Strategy, assessing billion-dollar hydrogen opportunities. Since then, I’ve worked across industry, think tanks and ministries - supporting energy investment planning, clean technology deployment, and decarbonisation solutions delivery.Academically, I combine engineering depth with systems thinking. I hold a First Class Honours in Chemical Engineering and I am now specialising into the technical, economic, polical and social drivers of energy through my studies at Oxford.I’ve received international and national-level awards: The Global Top 50 Women in Hydrogen award, sustainable innovation competition prizes, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship for postgraduate study at Oxford.
