About María Isabel Gouverneur
I’m a Senior Director of Product Design with more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of human understanding, design, product, and growth. I enjoy helping teams navigate complex problems and turning insights into products and experiences that serve both people and organizations.I currently lead Growth Design at Jabra Enhance, where we work on a digital health experience in a category defined by long decision cycles and high consideration. Our research shows that in this space, confidence—not speed—is what helps people move forward, so much of our work focuses on guiding and supporting people through complex decisions.Throughout my career, I’ve worked across diverse domains including digital health, fintech, enterprise data platforms, banking, insurtech, and social impact technology. While the industries differ, the underlying challenge is often the same: helping people make confident decisions in complex environments.Along the way, I’ve collaborated closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and data teams, and I value environments where curiosity, experimentation, and thoughtful design can work together.I also occasionally collaborate with organizations exploring AI-enabled products, such as recent work with CapSpecialty around early concepts for AI-assisted insurance quoting. As a leader, I care deeply about creating teams where people can do their best work — with clarity, trust, and empathy — while solving meaningful problems together.Italian-Venezuelan roots, dancing with New York for 30 years.
