About Mariah Sabir
I grew up with plenty of struggles and community engagement and advocate opportunities literally saved my life! It continues to present many unique opportunities for me to learn, grow and give back to my community, which are moments I live for. In 2015, while pursuing my BS in Food and Nutrition I had the opportunity to go to the Academy of Nutrition’s public policy workshop. This convention helped influence my decision to pursue a public heath career and in May 2019 I received an MPH in Health Equity from Simmons University. My goal is to use my public health knowledge and life experiences to create upstream solutions and help improve health outcomes for disenfranchised populations.
