This position is an IT Project Manager (PM) in the NIWC Atlantic IPT/Competency Aligned Organization (CAO). The IT Project Manager is accountable for assisting the IPT Lead in developing the cost, schedule, and performance expectations of assigned projects with regards to planning, direction, and success of IT program/systems development and research or technology. Successful hire will assist in managing the engineering and computer science methods and techniques in assessing the feasibility of new concepts for project/program requirements while evaluating and ensuring consistency and accuracy of stakeholder needs and translating them into realization. This includes programming, budgeting, resourcing, technology evaluation, systems development, acquisition, documentation, testing, deployment, integrated logistic support and configuration management.Engage in all aspects of Purchase Request (PR) Planning, Creation, Entry, and QA as the technical expert for PRs in the IPT/ Division. Manage cost, schedule, performance, and risk of a small to medium project or multiple IPT/Division level resource and acquisition management requirements. Prepare IT budgets and assist with development, planning, and subsequent execution of IT program acquisition plans including schedules, cost estimates, risk management and resource requirements to meet cost, schedule, and performance constraints; assist PM/IPT Lead in planning personnel resources required to execute IT programs.
