About Mariah Couch
I am a Senior Civil Engineering student at North Carolina A&T from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am currently a Summer Associate for Clark Construction at the Residential T1 Location in Charlotte, NC. At school, I was selected 1 of 9 engineering students at North Carolina A&T State University to participate in the Helping Orient Minorities to Engineering (H.O.M.E.) Program. The H.O.M.E. Program is an intensive 5-week corporate sponsored program for high achieving engineering students. In this program, I completed a project addressing the digital divide in underserved communities. I also dedicate my time to pour into the College of Engineering that has given so much to me (COE Ambassador, STEM RLC, Miss ASCE, Global Engineering Brigade Volunteer). This past spring, I was voted in by the largest HBCU population to serve as the 91st Miss North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Aside from my collegiate experience, I own my own t-shirt business and use my free time to volunteer and serve my community. My favorite and most proud achievement in serving is my work with Girls Like Me, a non-profit organization founded on the purpose of spreading STEM awareness and women\'s empowerment to young minority girls in Guilford County Schools. As of now, I am seeking to take me talents and skills in the project management realm within civil engineering.

I am officially a 2024 Summer Associate for the Clark Construction Group. During this internship, I have been given the opportunity to work with an amazing group of engineers, project managers, fellow interns, subcontractors, and much more on the POD 6 Smithsonian Support Center in Suitland, Maryland. My role will consist of completing on-site tasks to aid with the progression of the project.
