ABOUT MARIA CANTILLON

Maria is the Head of the UK, Middle East and Africa for Securities Services at Citi. She is responsible for the delivery of Custody, Fund and ETF Services, Securities Finance, FX, Collateral Management to the firm’s clients and driving growth in the 30 countries she oversees in the region. She also leads the global strategy for Citi’s sovereign wealth and public sector segments, working across the bank to deliver Citi’s holistic solutions to these clients. Maria serves on the Global Securities Services Executive Management Committee, UK Executive Committee, MEA Executive Committee With over 25 years of experience in the fund industry, Maria brings a global perspective having worked in London, Dublin, Luxembourg, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. During her time at Citi she has held key leadership roles, serving as Head of EMEA for Securities Services and Head of Sales. Maria joined Citi in 2021 from State Street, where she was Executive Vice President and Global Sector Solutions Head for Alternatives, responsible for all sales activities for alternative asset managers. Prior to State Street, Maria was head of Alternative Investment Managers and a member of the Executive Committee at BNP Paribas Securities Services in London. She’s held similar sales and relationship management roles JP Morgan in Singapore and Hong KongMaria is a frequent speaker on industry panels around asset management trends, geopolitics and operations.
