As the Global Physical Security Lead for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), I oversee the strategic direction, governance, and operational delivery of physical security services across SCB’s global real estate portfolio on behalf of JLL. My role bridges strategic advisory with day-to-day operations, ensuring a consistent, risk-based, and client-aligned approach to security management in over 60 countries.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the global physical security strategy aligned with SCB’s risk appetite, regulatory needs, and JLL’s delivery framework.Client Engagement:Act as the key security point of contact for SCB stakeholders globally, building trusted relationships with heads of Corporate Real Estate, Risk, Health & Safety, and Technology.Global Governance & Compliance:Drive global consistency through standards, playbooks, and audits. Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies across regions.Operational Oversight:Provide oversight and escalation for physical security operations in all regions – including access control, CCTV, guarding, and threat mitigation measures.Team Leadership & Development:Guide and support regional security and H&S leads; onboard and upskill local teams and new hires to embed best practices.Risk Management:Lead threat assessments, incident investigations, and risk reviews. Support crisis management and emergency response planning.Technology Integration:Oversee physical security system upgrades (e.g, Lenel, CCTV infrastructure), ensuring they meet enterprise-wide standards and enhance situational awareness.Cost Management & Transformation:Identify and drive efficiency opportunities including in-sourcing, role rationalisation, and vendor performance improvements.Stakeholder Reporting:Deliver quarterly security updates, performance dashboards, and executive briefings for both JLL and SCB leadership.
