TMF is a community—led by veterans and families of the fallen but open to all—that serves togetherand supports each other. TMF programs are focused on empowering our nation’s service membersand surviving families, developing character, and uniting communities to honor fallen heroes.Character Does Matter (CDM) is TMF’s hallmark youth mentorship program led by veterans and families of the fallen. Character Does Matter (CDM), powered by Under Armour Freedom, helps develop character and leadership skills in young adults. Grounded in the evidence-based field of Positive Psychology, CDM uses presentations, activity-based courses, group discussions and small group mentoring to inspire youth to lead with character within and outside of the classroom.My Chapter leadership role as a Character Does Matter (CDM) Liaison focuses on developing character in future generations by: • Supporting local CDM programming and youth engagement within the Chapter area • Connecting existing CDM Mentors with broader Chapter activities • Identifying new opportunities for CDM and youth engagement • Working with other chapter leaders to ensure youth are present at TMF service events
