ABOUT MARIA ULOKO

As a board-certified urologist, I specialize in comprehensive sexual health for all genders, ranging from menopause management to complex erectile dysfunction. Recognized as a world leader in chronic pelvic pain and vulvar conditions, I am dedicated to improving my patients\' quality of life through a compassionate and inclusive approach to often stigmatized subjects. I empower my patients to take ownership of their sexual health by providing a shame-free space for questions and stories, and I actively work to close gaps in disparities of care by promoting diversity and inclusivity.I founded MUMD Beverly Hills to deliver specialized, patient-centered care for chronic pelvic pain and recurrent UTIs, focusing on innovative, science-based solutions that address the root causes of these conditions. Through MUMD, we provide comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that help patients regain their quality of life.Building on my commitment to women\'s health, I also founded VULVAi- an AI powered predictive clinical decision maker to teach doctors and patients how to diagnose chronic vulvovaginal conditions affecting 85 million women in the US alone. VULVAi uses advanced AI technology, trained on extensive datasets of vulvar conditions, symptoms, and treatments, to offer an accurate and personalized roadmap empowering both patients and providers to reach the right diagnosis. My research, particularly on the human clitoris, has earned international acclaim. I served as the inaugural director of the Vulvar Sexual Health Clinic at UCSD, the first academic urology program in the country for women\'s sexual health, and as the Director of DEI for Graduate Medical Education. I am actively involved in training the next generation of medical professionals in urology and sexual health and currently serve as an associate editor for the Journal Of Urology and the Editor of the International Video Journal of Sexual Health.I completed a fellowship in comprehensive sexual health with a focus on prosthesis and reconstruction at San Diego Sexual Medicine and Scripps, along with residencies in urology and general surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. I earned my medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. I am a member of the American Urologic Society, the Society of Sexual Medicine North America, the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and the International Society of Sexual Medicine.
