ABOUT MARIA RANDAZZO

I\'m a New York-based writer, actor, improviser, stand-up, and drag king (his name is Sal Marscarbone and he\'d like to take you for a sandwich sometime). I\'m a humor writer for Reductress and I perform regularly with the cast of Monster Mash and TV Dinner at The Brick Theater as part of The Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Prior to NYC, I spent nine years performing sketch and improv comedy in Chicago. Most recently, I wrote and performed in \"She The People\" at The Second City’s UP Comedy Club where Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune called me a “very notable up-and-comer.” For two years I was a member of The Second City Touring Company in which I performed across the U.S. and developed deft bed bug searching skills. I also spent several months at sea with The Second City performing aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines and frankly, it was the best five months of my life. Also in Chicago, I wrote and performed two solo shows,\"Lady of Solitude\" and \"I Don\'t Know About Her.\" I improvised at the iO Theater with Harold teams Gold Star and Sears Tower, and also performed at The Annoyance Theater and with Baby Wants Candy. Additionally, I\'m a practiced copywriter. As a content creator for digital marketing agencies and with six years of experience writing for acclaimed comedy platforms, my work has reached audiences of over people. I\'m a graduate of Loyola University Chicago where I studied journalism, theater, and wind. I received comedy training at The Second City Conservatory and the iO Theater. I\'m a native of Cleveland, Ohio.
