The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 20••••19 was anticipated to be the last year of the Meadowbank mine production and it has now transitioning to process the satellite deposit at Amaruq, beginning commercial production in September 2019. We now refer to this operation as the Meadowbank Complex.Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.
