About Maria M.
Author Frederick Buechner once wrote, “Vocation is where our greatest passion meets the world’s greatest need.” I instantly recognized how perfectly this quotation described my fascination in exploring cancer treatments that better serve our patients. I am an accomplished oncology researcher with 5+ years of experience managing translational oncology projects. I became a Medical Science Liaison because I believe that communicating science and cultivating relationships with KOLs will promote the best treatments to serve patients. I have been part of many teams that aimed to advance the field of cancer and septic shock treatments, and I realized that it is important to remember that we work together to serve patients who deserve the best treatment that science can provide. I believe that as an MSL I can help patients by being the connection between science and people. To paraphrase Buechner, passion drives me to spend my life at the service of mankind, in the best way I know how.I am a highly motivated and competent relationship builder with a detail-oriented mindset and a driven personality, dedicated to growing and maintaining professional relationships with leaders, KOLs and collaborators. I have the ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data. I have working knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations and OIG guidelines. Strengths include public speaking, relationship building and networking, medical communication, product launch and organizational skills.
