ABOUT MARIA MALLIS-LANE

In I took the Options program at the Katharine Gibbs School and began working at my first law firm in March 2001. My first office job was at Seeger Weiss LLP where I worked from 20••••06. I started off as a receptionist at Seeger Weiss and then was promoted to a paralegal. I attended paralegal school while working full time. I worked as a paralegal from 20••••06. After this I began doing temp work for a couple of months and then in March of 2007 I began working at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. I began as a floater and then I was placed with Prof. Robert J. Kheel and 1 other associate, I worked with Prof. Kheel till his retirement in 2010. I then began working as Former Gov. Mario M. Cuomo\'s 2nd Assistant from 20••••13, working for the Governor was a great honor, he was truly an exceptional human being. After working for the Governor for 4 years a new opportunity arose and I took it, I was asked to assist 2 partners and 4 associates, I had assisted 2 partners and 4 associates from 20••••15. In 2015 I moved out to San Francisco and began working at Shearman & Sterling, LLP for 2 partners and 4 associates in the Mergers & Acquisitions department, I was also the recruiting coordinater for the SF office for the summer associate program. I was at Shearman and Sterling for a little over 2 1/2 years. I then moved to Holland & Knight, LLP where I assisted 3 partners and 1 associate in the Real Estate department. I\'m currently working at Fenwick and West LLP in the Corporate section.
