About Maria Kaber
As a Research Assistant at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, I contribute to various projects regarding Diabetic Kidney Disease, Alport Syndrome, and primary FSGS in Dr. Alessia Fornoni\'s lab. Jenkins Scholarship, a full-ride award for students with strong academic credentials, significant financial need, and a history of overcoming adversity. I am passionate about community service, research, Nephrology, and spreading awareness about health disparities in medicine. My goal is to work and gain valuable experience here at the University of Miami and leave an impact by promoting an equal and safe space on campus.
