ABOUT MIA MARIA JONES-ZAMORA
I am a J.D. candidate at Santa Clara University School of Law with a strong interest in environmental and energy justice. My background includes legal research, policy analysis, and community-based advocacy, with recent experience supporting environmental justice work at the Center for Race, Poverty, and the Environment.I’ve contributed to projects involving regulatory research, memorandum drafting, and hearing preparation, while collaborating with grassroots leaders on climate and public health issues. I also gained practical experience through Santa Clara’s International Human Rights Clinic and an externship with Legal Services of Northern California.With a B.A. in Sociology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and minors in Environmental Studies, Sustainable Environments, and Law & Society, I bring an interdisciplinary lens to my legal education and a deep commitment to advancing equity and sustainability through the law.
