ABOUT MARIA EDUARDA KOBAYASHI ROSSI

I am a researcher, poet, and emerging peacebuilder passionate about peace and gender studies. Currently pursuing a Master of Global Affairs at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies (University of Notre Dame), I work at the intersection of peace and gender studies, and I am currently exploring the Restorative Justice field. My academic path has taken me across Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, the United States, Colombia, and Switzerland, allowing me to engage critically with how communities resist violence, reclaim memory, and generate knowledge outside dominant frameworks.Recognized for academic and artistic work - including a national award for best humanities research at UNESP - I weave storytelling and poetic expression into my practice, believing that peacebuilding must also speak from the margins, from affect, and from lived experience.I am especially interested in critical education, gender justice, and the arts as tools for reimagining political participation, repair, and collective healing.
