About Maria Diaz

I was in the operations arena for 28 years spending 14 of those years in Damage Prevention where I reduced damages to our infrastructure by 60%, created a public awareness and education program for both excavators and homeowners, created a program to help support the locating contractors which helped reduce second party damages and finally and most importantly, was part of the team that helped reduce damages to the entire state and recognized for having one of the best damage prevention programs in the country. In my new role as Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, I get to work with all the amazing people in our company, support our mission, continue to add to the diverse landscape within the company. My dream job! I have gained many skills and certifications in Public Speaking, Negotiations, Employee Investigations, Human Resource Essentials and Human Resources Management Project Management, Contract Negotiations through eCornell, Brookdale and Rutgers leadership academy and plan to continue learning to better serve this amazing work force.
