Maria has over 19 years of clinical research and she brings this wealth of insight to her current position as VP of Early Clinical Development for WCCT Global. Maria has been working in the clinical research industry since starting her career as a Phlebotomist for a Phase I unit from which she grew to oversee two departments and provide unparalleled support and insight on everything pertaining to Clinical Operations and Clinical Development. Over the span of her career, Maria has held many roles including everything from being a Project Manager to the Director of Clinical Operations. These experiences give her the perfect balance of leadership expertise, practical clinical skills, and insight into the CRO experience. Maria\'s extensive industry knowledge and hands-on approach to leadership prove time and again that her knowledge and insight bring efficiency and proper planning to the execution of study trials, and ultimately, exemplary service to all partners and clients. Maria is well-versed in all aspects of properly running a CRO and clinical research site including coordinating, developing source documents, preparing and submitting regulatory documents, project management, staffing, training, clinical monitoring, business development, partner relations, medical consulting, contract review and budgeting. Not only this, Maria is a well-respected and caring leader and she acts as a skilled liaison between all her company\'s departments in the planning and execution of new studies. As a specialist in early Phase studies, Maria has relevant knowledge in specialty therapeutic areas such as Pediatrics, Gynecology, Pulmology, Rheumatology, Renal, Ophthalmology, and Oncology.
