Skilled in Cause Driven Leadership Development, Philanthropy, Community Organizing, and Nonprofit Management. Strong executive and operations professional graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with an MSEd with an emphasis in Kinesiology. Throughout 20••••22 and the COVID-19 pandemic, Margo successfully led the Channel Islands Y by pivoting the Y’s program focus to include food distribution, youth learning hubs, student digital resource centers, virtual and outdoor wellness, senior check-ins, and childcare for essential employees of the community. The Y’s impact drew the interest of local organizations and donors who collaborated with the Y to provide important services through challenging times.Partnering with community stakeholders and local board members, Margo and her team have focused on strategic growth and service through the lenses of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The development of a navigation center for transitional age youth who are in need of housing and basic services and a fully funded teen membership program for all middle school and high school students in an under resourced community are two examples of this important work.In 2013, Margo was selected as the Chief Operations Officer for the entire Channel Islands YMCA.
