ABOUT MARGIE DILLENBURG
With almost twenty years experience in the training, company growth, and educational spaces, I help organizations design and foster ideas and then turn them into operational and efficient realities. Focusing on growth that is equitable, expansive, and sustainable—my leadership and development style ensures that both methods and outcomes are infused with empathy and rigor. I work best partnering and facilitating with colleagues who want methods and outcomes to be not only efficacious and profitable, but also personal and kind. I help leaders build companies they are proud of. Informed by a PhD in pedagogy, learning, and curriculum design, I’ve partnered with Venture Capital firms, Private Equity portfolios, for-profits, foundations, social impact ventures, educational institutions, and NGOs to incorporate empathy/psychology research into successful community growth and engagement strategies. I’ve grown operating budgets by over 240%(and supporter bases by much greater margins) while also fostering data-informed, empathy-driven, and integrity-centered work ecosystems so the people behind the movements can grow in tandem with the momentum they’re building. During my time as COO and International Movement Director at Invisible Children, Inc, I helped design and grow grassroots initiatives (which engaged over 10 million supporters worldwide) as well as created and facilitated training programs for 1500+ staff members and 1200+ interns. As the movement gained resonance with the cultural zeitgeist, I had zero staff turnovers from direct hires. I’ve experienced firsthand how human-centered leadership expands the potential of not only its employees, but the organization as a whole. Individual and organizational expansion are interconnected—both must thrive for growth to be sustainable. Currently accepting clients at globally-competitive, actively equitable, and impact-minded organizations.
