About Margherita Firenze
I am a third-year PhD student in MIT’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, focused on developing deployable computer vision and deep learning methods for 3D volumetric reconstruction from corrupted 2D images. My work is motivated by real-world medical imaging challenges, particularly in fetal MRI, where data are noisy and incomplete. I am interested in building scalable, physics-informed vision systems that translate advanced algorithms into robust tools for deployment in real-world use cases.
