ABOUT MARGHERITA BAVAGNOLI
economist involved in agricultural finance and investments at global, regional and national levels particularly in Africa with the United Nations\' FAO. I have been working extensively on value chain finance in Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and Niger as well as being engaged in capacity building on value chain development, access to finance and agricultural insurance at different levels. At the same time, I work as independent researcher on agribusiness investments and agricultural insurance in Africa and Asia and is part of the Plan8 Risk Consulting Group. I have extensive experience in Projects\' communication and visibility. Prior to the project, I have been engaged in Communication for Development, together with technical work on Investments and financing for disaster risk reduction and pastoral risk management in Mongolia for FAO and The World Bank. I hold a degree in Economics and Business Management and a Master’s in Human Development & Food Security.
