Margaux Nair works in partnership with the R&D, commercial and legal teams to strategically manage the company\'s patents, trade secrets, and know-how. As well as supporting IP strategies for chocolate research and manufacturing, she supports the management of novel developments in plant-related research, including for ingredients such as cocoa, peanut, and mint.She analyzes IP risks and opportunities for projects, drafts agreements, drafts freedom to operate opinions, drafts patent applications and plant variety and plant breeders\' rights applications, coordinates global patent prosecution, oppositions, and other offensive and defensive patent proceedings. She provides counseling on the intersection of intellectual property rights and access & benefit sharing obligations. She counsels global R&D team members on day to day intellectual property matters, and also provides IP analysis for business critical projects. She also provides training on IP matters to associates across the business.
