The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) at Northwestern is a program that aims to aid in diversifying and reducing underrepresentation in higher education. MMUF provides support for undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a PhD in designated fields. I am currently a Mellon Mays Fellow in History, and am researching 20th century Hip Hop music and its wealth as an archive in Black cultural memory and history. I intend to apply to PhD programs in History and Sociology across the United States.
