ABOUT MARGARET HARDY

I am a shareholder of the firm and a member of our Healthcare, Business and Professional Litigation, and Local Government Practice Groups. I have offices in both the Fredericksburg and Richmond locations, counseling clients on business and regulatory legal issues and representing them, when necessary, in court.My training and experience as a registered nurse gives me a unique perspective into the representation of health care providers. I have successfully defended a wide variety of providers in medical malpractice actions and regularly represent health care professionals before the Virginia Department of Health Professions licensing boards. I also give advice to providers on issues related to reimbursement, credentialing, HIPAA and regulatory compliance, and risk management.As a business and local goverment litigator, I defend professionals in malpractice actions and defend the interests of business entities and local governments in contract and tort actions. When I\'m not working for my clients, I enjoy riding motorcycles, reading, and spinning wool, which I use for weaving and knitting.Specialties: healthcare, professional malpractice, business disputes, local goverment issues, nurse and other health care provider licensure issues
