Appointed by the Governor to a six-member statutory board with jurisdiction over the following for voters in Bergen County and 70 municipalities: recruiting, training, and supervising poll workers for 553 polling districts; receiving, canvassing and counting paper absentee and provisional ballots; certifying and inspecting polling places for accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act; issuing challenger permits and badges to eligible voters; redistricting of towns, election districts and subdivisions, when appropriate, and filing maps and the legal boundary descriptions of the election districts with the Attorney General\'s Office; and recounting election results (done bycourt order only). Managing seven office staff: one receptionist, two supervisors and four clerks. Developing and communicating business continuity and crisis management plans and procedures, such as current COVID-19 pandemic.
