ABOUT MARGARET DUNNING
Over the past decade, Margaret Dunning led Finn Partner’s Higher Education practice, working with colleges and universities, nonprofits and companies with an interest in higher education. She has extensive experience in crisis communications, issues management, media strategy and long-term client positioning. Finn Partners acquired Widmeyer Communications in 2013, where Margaret was a partner and led the Washington, DC office. Additional experience includes working in public opinion research, television production and public service advertising. She worked for the Office of Management and Budget within the Executive Office of the President and for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Margaret is on the Board of Trustees of Trinity Washington University. She served on the Boards of the Federal City Council and the Economic Club of Washington DC. She was an advisory board member to both the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications and the American Red Cross’ Office of Public Affairs. Margaret participated in Leadership Greater Washington and is a recipient of Washington Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” Award.
