ABOUT MARGARETA DANELIUS
Doctor and leader with experience in change management, patient safety and digitalisation, standing on a firm basis of medical ethics, clinical work and pedagogic skills. I have been leading physical and digital health care in hospitals, primary and specialist care in public, private and non-profit settings and also doing humanitarian work on the side or full-time. The patient is my most important partner and I never stopped being clinically active.I am a specialist in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology with special interest in inflammatory bowel disease and short-bowel syndrome but lately I have been working more with general internal medicine and primary care.For the humanitarian part I worked for 20 years with Kololi Gambia Sponsorship and then founded Academy for Academics, that ended up helping 60 young Gambians getting bachelor’s degree. I worked with Médecins sans Frontières in Bekaa valley in Lebanon August 2023-April 2024, in Sudan December 2024-March 2025 and currently in Tchad.
