In a 200 bed facility, responsible for compiling and submitting Medicaid applications and recertifications on behalf of Nursing Home and Rehabilitation residents;o Interview new and potential residents for eligibility. o Responsible for getting necessary forms signed by resident/family member to apply and to obtain any documents needed for the application. o Proactively work with Government/Financial institutions to obtain resident documents.• Social Security Administration, Banks, Pension companies, etc. o Educate family and residents about their financial obligations.o Responsible for collecting monthly payment due to the facility. • NAMI and Private.o Enrolling residents into a managed care plan/MLTC plan once selected by Medicaid Choice.o Dis-enroll residents from a managed care plan when deemed necessary. • Manage resident’s in-house, Amalgamated/ABFAST bank accounts;o Maintain financial compliance.o Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing PNA/burial accounts. o Made daily deposits/withdrawals to/from resident’s accounts.o Distribute quarterly bank statements to each resident/family members. o Perform monthly audits.• Responsible for paying patient’s bills;o Medical, funeral, clothing and extracurricular.
