ABOUT MARGARET MADDEN
I believe that education, the arts and non-profits play a vital role in society. I\'ve devoted my career to improving the field of education. Now I wish to enhance skills and opportunities for others.I\'ve enjoyed extensive experience in organizational management, fundraising and community development. My specialty is in designing, implementing and assessing arts and arts education programs. I\'m especially interested in how arts learning can enhance human development. I like to bring the right people to the table to get quickly to the heart of complex situations and find positive solutions.Experience: I am a nationally recognized arts educator and recent past Executive Director of Music in Schools Today, where I developed music and arts plans for 10 Bay Area Districts and over 100 schools, serving over students annually with in and after-school programs. Previously I served as Community Relations Manager at San Francisco Ballet, in both positions pioneering award-winning programs.I currently consult with California Bluegrass Association. I have consulted for organizations as varied as American Indian Contemporary Arts, San Francisco Opera and Stern Grove Festival.
