ABOUT MARGARET FOLEY
I am a very passionate and hardworking person who enjoys learning and trying new experiences. I try to instill those values into almost everything I do and seek to incorporate those into my future professional life as well. I am very passionate about helping others and making the world a better place, not only abroad but in my own communities. Some of my skills include Spanish language proficiency, public speaking, writing, and leadership. In 2019, I was able to completely immerse myself in Spanish culture by studying abroad in Ciudad Real, Spain for six weeks with a host family and Spanish-only language commitment. The Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Language helped me to improve my Spanish skills, be able to adapt to different situations with ease, see the beauty of different cultures, and become comfortable with the uncomfortable. This experience has shaped me into the person I am today and has given me the necessary skill-set to succeed thus far at Indiana University as well as help me refine my professional and academic interests.
