ABOUT MARGARET BURKE

Margaret is currently the Firmwide Talent Acquisition & Development Leader for PwC US, where she leads both the Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development functions of the firm.She has been with PwC for over 25 years, beginning her career in client service before transitioning into Human Capital. As someone who joined the firm as a college graduate, Margaret believes strongly in all the opportunities that PwC offers its people for growth as they evolve in their careers.Prior to her current role, Margaret was the Human Capital Leader for PwC\'s US Advisory (then Consulting) practice, as well as for Mexico, Japan and the global Acceleration Centers. In this role, she was a member of the US Advisory leadership team and was responsible for the strategic development, direction and implementation of the people strategy for the entire practice. While in this role, Margaret helped grow the Advisory practice from people, when she came into the role, to over professionals. She led the recruitment, development, talent management, total rewards and retention programs that fueled and sustained this growth.Over the past several years, she has also successfully led the people integration of over fifteen strategic acquisitions, from due diligence through post integration. Highlights of her career include the creation of a new compensation strategy for the entire US firm that is innovative, market competitive and driven by high performance results. She also created and implemented Consulting\'s MBA recruiting strategy to attract highly qualified and credentialed professionals to the practice.During her leadership tenure to date, PwC has been recognized for its achievements in human capital development and training, including being named to Fortune magazine\'s \"100 Best Companies to Work For,\" Diversity Inc.\'s \"Top 10,\" Working Mother\'s \"Top 10,\" and Training Magazine\'s #1 ranking as an organization that excels at employee training and development.Margaret is a proud mom to three children and lives outside of Boston with her husband and two kids that are still home. She loves spending time outside of work with her family and friends and has a strong passion for cooking, entertaining and having fun!
