ABOUT MARGARET BOYER
I am a marketing professional in the field of K-12 educational publishing with specialization in product marketing and knowledge of integrated marketing strategy. I have extensive experience in the following markets: • K-8 SaaS | digital personalized learning in math and language arts• K-5 literacy• 6-12 literacy and language arts• Adult education• Custom solutions In my current position, I have been honored to play a pivotal role in successful 6-12 ELA campaigns across the nation including: TX 9-12 (112% of goal), FL 6-12 (163% of goal), and Open Territory (108% of goal in FY2021, 100% of goal in FY2022, and 70% YoY growth on average). In 2021, my contribution to these campaigns earned me the title of Marketing Champion of the Year and my team Portfolio of the Year.I am a master at owning the market first, then the product, and staying in-tune with customers to ensure their voice is reflected in the products I help create and market. I have expertise in building and maintaining a close relationship with sales partners, and deeply understand that it is impossible to over-communicate or over-collaborate with internal teams. I am highly skilled at managing print, digital, and SaaS products through their entire lifecycle; re-envisioning brand, message, and strategy for struggling product lines to encourage growth; and ramping up in new markets quickly to minimize time between my onboarding into a new market and when I can start really moving the needle with my new product(s).Prior to joining the marketing world, I enjoyed a successful tenure in both inside and outside sales in K-12 educational publishing. This sales experience has become a critical part of what makes me a successful marketing manager. Having actually walked in the shoes of my first customer (my sales team), I understand what it\'s like to be the face of the company in good times and (really, more importantly) in bad, the isolation that can be felt as a field rep, and the day-to-day challenges our reps face. I arm my reps with the training, collateral, process supports, and personal level of support they need feel to confident everyday, which in turn creates trust, strong relationships, and product success.
