ABOUT MARGARET BAKER

I\'m an experienced HR leader with over 13 years in people operations, organizational development, and employee experience. Currently, I’m the Manager of People Operations & Strategy at MZLA Technologies Corporation, the home of Thunderbird, a free and open-source email client, as well as other independent productivity tools. We’re a mission-driven team within the Mozilla family, committed to building user-first products that operate outside the influence of big tech.Since joining MZLA, I’ve helped guide the organization through a period of significant growth and scaling. I lead people strategy with a focus on culture, inclusion, and feedback. My approach blends strategic thinking with emotional intelligence, aiming to create high-trust environments where people can do their best work, no matter where they are in the world.I hold a CHRL designation, a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, and a BA in Political Science and History from U of T (Class of 2013).Outside of work, I’m passionate about running, hiking with my family, interior design, and general wellness.
