About Maren Harris

As a lifelong Hoosier and a two-time Indiana University graduate, I have a tragic passion for Indiana basketball. Every year I tell myself,\"this year will be different.\" I am incredibly caring, passionate, and exhibit a steadfast loyalty through the good and the bad. Professionally, I plan to use my interest in economic development and the skills I have acquired through past experiences towards a career serving communities to make them a better place to live, work and play for all residents. As a project manager at Regional Opportunity Initiatives, my role is to oversee and manage $30 million we received through the state of Indiana\'s Regional Economic Acceleration & Development Initiative (READI), designed to fund transformative initiatives throughout our 11-county Indiana Uplands region. We are using READI funding to invest in all types of exciting projects and programs- housing developments, microelectronics, parks and trails, workforce development programs and more. I love building relationships with people.
