I help organizations lead with intention, navigate complexity, and build cultures where people—especially those historically pushed to the margins—can thrive.As President and COO of The Winters Group, I carry forward the legacy of our Black woman–founded firm as a second-generation leader and co-owner. I lead strategy, operations, and vision for a company that’s spent over 40 years pushing workplaces to think more deeply about equity, culture, and transformation.My work lives at the intersection of leadership, systems thinking, and human experience. With a background in computer science and electrical engineering, I bring a unique lens to organizational development—combining logic, empathy, and equity to help leaders move from intent to impact. I’ve spent over a decade speaking, facilitating, and designing programs that challenge the status quo—most recently as a LinkedIn Learning Instructor and PhD student in Organizational Development & Change.Before all this, I started my career as an engineer—often the only Black woman in the room. Those early experiences shaped both my passion and purpose: to build more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.I’m the co-author of Racial Justice at Work: Practical Solutions for Systemic Change (2023), the second edition of We Can’t Talk About That at Work: How to Talk About Race, Religion, Politics and Other Polarizing Topics (2024), and the forthcoming second edition of Black Fatigue: How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body, and Spirit (2026).I’ve been honored with a number of recognitions, including Who’s Who in Black Charlotte, Charlotte Business Journal’s Power 100, and Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching, all in 2023. I was also named to Diversity MBA’s Top 100 Under 50 Executive and Emerging Leaders and Diversity Woman Media’s Power 100 List in 2021.
