ABOUT MARCY K. KREVER
I bring a lifetime of experience in child-related project development/oversight to my current work as cofounder of Discourse Montessori, an edtech startup dedicated to helping struggling readers through online literacy tutoring. Our individualized, Montessori-aligned approach is designed ensure high engagement, continual progress, and growing confidence. Previously, as senior director of communications for the American Montessori Society for nearly 20 years, I led the production of company websites, informational videos, and more; oversaw the publication of a magazine for Montessori educators; and collaborated with other senior staff on organization programming and strategy. I also produced a daily, Peabody-award-winning radio show for children, developed and directed a cultural enrichment program for severely disturbed adolescents, and designed and taught integrated-subject-area classes to junior high school students experiencing severe forms of adversity. And before all this I was a puppeteer, staging shows—including operas performed with live orchestras—for people of all ages, children through adults.
