About Marcy Baskin
Even after years in the senior care industry, I still vividly remember when the journey was mine - how lost and confused I was by care options when my parents became ill. The complexity of the healthcare system was daunting and the reality of Alzheimer\'s Disease became an emotional journey that challenged every skill I had acquired in a long history of entrepreneurial endeavors and every bit of self awareness, compassion, and patience I could muster. My goal and desire is to be part of the solution for others who walk this often unexpected path, unprepared and at a loss. After studying Healthcare Navigation at Sonoma State University, I began a small private practice in Eldercare Consulting. I published a book on Assisted Living. I became a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer\'s Association, and finally had the good fortune to find my professional home with Senior Care Authority, a full service concierge for families and their loved ones needing guidance and support. Through my work with Senior Care Authority I have been able to create a platform that offers education, personal growth, and a place for others to learn how to help families who need to find courage in the face of seemingly impossible circumstances.Working in a company with a clear mission and with a founder whose vision has enabled thousands of families across the country to find solace, comfort, and expert guidance while navigating one of life\'s most challenging situations has been inspirational and rewarding, to say the least. What a ride it has been! I am honored by every person who entrusts the act of making these critical decisions to my counsel and am amazed by the resilience of the human spirit, over and over. My job fills me with gratitude for the gifts I receive on a daily basis. I am personally gifted with the opportunity to find compassion and kindness with every family I am able to work with, no matter how difficult the situation.
