About Marcus Miller

After gaining more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, I am currently serving as the Vice President of HSES at Borusan Pipe, a prominent steel pipe manufacturer globally. My primary expertise lies in risk management and loss control, incident management and root cause analysis, as well as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system development and accreditation. My goal is to maintain the highest health, safety, and environmental standards for our operations, employees, customers, and communities. I highly value teamwork, innovation, and continual improvement, and I constantly strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the HSE team and the organization as a whole.In my current role, I have effectively led the development and implementation of a comprehensive incident reduction strategy and program, resulting in a 50% decrease in incident frequency rate and a 40% decrease in the lost time injury frequency rate in the last 6 years. I have also supervised the technical manual, plan, and procedure development for various HSE aspects, such as emergency response, waste management, contractor management, and audit and inspection. Moreover, I have conducted facility inspections, audits, and compliance activities, and facilitated the ESG Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emission benchmarks for our company. To achieve these results, I have utilized my skills in petroleum, oil and gas, as well as occupational health and safety management system lead auditor. Additionally, I have completed the TapRoot incident investigation and root cause analysis course, enhancing my ability to identify and address the underlying causes of incidents and prevent their recurrence.
