I work as Fundraising and Events Manager at The AHOY Centre, a charity that changes lives and builds essential life skills through sailing, rowing, powerboating, and other on- and off-the-water activities.We’re committed to making watersports accessible to everyone, offering our programmes either free or at a minimal cost. To make this possible, all our activities are funded through fundraising — and that’s where my role comes in.I lead on the development and delivery of our fundraising events, including our flagship rowing challenges, where individuals and organisations take on the Thames to raise vital funds for our work. I also focus on growing our fundraising portfolio by designing and launching a more diverse range of events that help us reach new supporters and strengthen our impact.A key part of my work involves building meaningful partnerships with companies and communities that share our mission to improve lives across Greenwich and Lewisham.
