About Marcus Christensen
I had the pleasure of working on the vehicle engineering management team at Tesla during the Model S development. By most people\'s assessment we had no reason to believe we could succeed. After all, no mass production EV ever had. And the last two serious attempts to start new car companies in the US had gone down in flames decades before. But we weren\'t following most people’s logic. Rather, we were applying First Principles Thinking and we had no doubt we would succeed. We took our ideas of what would make the best car ever (not just the best EV but the best car) and broke them down to the simplest things we knew to be true. Then we built up from those truths unencumbered by the way things had been done before. Our ideas came to life because we asked \'What would it take\' rather than \'Can this be done\'.So… what would it take?
