About Marcul Joseph
If you can dream it, you can do it.” You may already be acquainted with these words by Walt Disney. Those are words that Marcul lives by. An aspiring international lawyer and motivational speaker, Marcul was reared on the small caribbean republic of Haiti. A fluent French, Haitian Créole, and English speaker, he moved to the United States to pursue better educational opportunities. Having lived and been educated in arguably the poorest and wealthiest country in the Western Hemisphere, Marcul developed an unquenchable desire to bridge the gap between these two realities and fight some of the world’s most pressing issues from child abuse, refugee crisis, to poverty - all through the sphere of law. As a result, he attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) where he pursued and graduated with honors in Political Science and Legal Studies with a certificate in Diplomacy. During his studies, he gained hands-on experience by completing an internship and a fellowship at the prestigious UCF Global Perspectives office where he covered African current events as well as global economics and health and produced research projects worthy of publication. Marcul has held numerous positions in the legal field, sharpening his skills in his quest to become an effective litigator. Currently, Marcul is a 2L at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.Outside of his professional life, Marcul enjoys spending time with his family, reading, running, and playing sports.
