ABOUT MARCOS CAMPOS

I am an experienced and visionary leader with more than 20 years of community work experience across Brazil and the UK. Passionate about improving lives, I have dedicated my career to developing Youth and Community Services and supporting disadvantaged communities. I began my journey in Brazil working with street kids and co-founding a Judo project in one of poorest area in Goiania, Brazil. In the UK, I started at The Gap in 2008 as a Youth Team Leader, where I worked my way up to become Director in 2014. Now, I lead a team of 14 staff and 25 volunteers to deliver essential services and outreach to hard-to-reach, lonely and isolated members of the community of all ages.I hold a degree in Youth and Community Services (2012) and an Executive MBA in Leadership and Management (2016) from the University of Worcester. My leadership style is defined by creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to making a lasting impact. I am known for my energy and determination, having a clear vision that guides my work, focusing on community empowerment and personal growth. My leadership philosophy emphasises mentorship, recognising its critical role in personal and collective growth.Having overcome my own disadvantaged background in Brazil, I am driven to inspire others and lead projects that transform lives, including spearheading the development of a new community centre in Warwick, UK, which is so far the pinnacle of my career to date.
