ABOUT MARCOS RIOS

I got my start in the financial industry at the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement Board. Because my mother is a retired teacher, I found myself helping her and her many friends and colleagues plan and prepare for their futures, and knew that this was the type of rewarding work I was called to do. I truly enjoy helping people envision and execute their retirement goals. To me, there is nothing more important than enabling others to live the retirement they have worked for and dreamed of. In my role as a Regional Vice President at John Hancock Retirement, I focus on understanding my advisors and their clients. I have the ability to find creative solutions to challenges that arise, and always put the needs of my partners first. By really listening to the concerns of others, finding ways to deliver them value, and persevering through obstacles, I am a valuable asset and an extension of the teams I partner with. My experience and knowledge translate to insight and action, which in turn contributes to the success of those around me. Outside of work, I enjoy new experiences and adventures, like attending concerts and sporting events, and have also begun to learn how to play the guitar. I was a youth football coach, and love the process of coaching and mentoring others.
