About Marco Gutierrez

I am a former NCAA Division I student-athlete with a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, earned in just 3.5 years. My journey into finance began before college, when I independently studied for and passed the FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 65 exams—an experience that fueled my passion for financial markets, analysis, and ultimately led me to pursue a degree in the field. While balancing the rigorous demands of collegiate athletics, I remained committed to academic excellence and community service, contributing over 125 volunteer hours to the Houston and San Antonio Food Banks and through the student-athlete led service initiatives with the UTSA and TAMU-CC baseball programs. This summer, I’m expanding my skill set through a legal internship at Gowan Law Group, gaining practical experience ahead of beginning law school at Marquette University Law School in August 2025.

   Drafted legal documents including petitions, stowers demands, UM/UIM demands, and discovery requests- Observed and sat in during depositions and mediations to gain insight into litigation strategy - Provided support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff with filing, case organization, and administrative tasks- Conducted preliminary research into case law related to personal injury matters
