I am a mission-driven educational leader with over 13 years of experience in PK-12 education, specializing in building equitable, psychologically safe learning environments and dismantling systemic barriers through culturally responsive leadership, restorative practices, and data-driven decision-making.In my recent district roles as Director, I managed a $3 million budget, led district-wide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and spearheaded Title IX compliance by developing streamlined protocols and staff training. Through my leadership, we achieved significant reductions in disciplinary referrals and suspensions for all students. We built alignment between equity initiatives and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to ensure predictable and equitable support.As the Associate Superintendent for Siskiyou County Office of Education, I lead district support services across various programs, including Continuous Improvement, LCAP development and compliance, Foster and Homeless Youth Services, School-Based Mental Health and Wellness, Community Schools, Attendance Improvement, and Safety and Emergency Preparedness. I focus on coordinating California Department of Education initiatives, supporting district leaders, managing complex budgets, and guiding teams to effectively implement state and federal programs.I have extensive experience preparing presentations, coaching administrators, supervising personnel, and representing organizations on regional and state committees. My leadership is rooted in empathy, consistency, and empowering staff to transform research, such as John Hattie’s meta-analysis, into actionable practices that drive student achievement.As a first-generation college graduate from Hammond, Indiana, I am personally committed to closing opportunity gaps so every student sees themselves reflected in their learning community. I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master’s in Educational Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Special Education, with advanced training through the USC Urban Superintendents Academy and ACSA Curriculum and Instruction Leaders Academy.I am passionate about connecting with educators, organizations, and community leaders who work to create inclusive and equitable systems.
