I\'m a director of engineering at VMware where I work on techniques to detect network threats. I was a member of the founding team of Lastline, until it was acquired by VMware. Before that, I\'ve held a Lecturer position at the University of Birmingham and, even before that, I\'ve got my PhD at UCSB.My research interests include most aspects of computer security, with an emphasis on network security, web-based malware, vulnerability analysis, and intrusion detection.
