Areas of Experience: Climate ChangeExtensive experience with climate change mainstreaming into operations in a broad range of sectors at the World Bank- Part of the core team developing the Climate Change and Development Reports (CCDR) for Mozambique and Madagascar, analytical and advisory documents identifying the key entry points for mainstreaming climate into priority development pathways- Part of the core team that rolled-out the Next Generation Climate Africa Business Plan (NGACBP), which supports, guides and registers the deepening of climate action across all sectors of the World Bank’s Africa Region lending portfolio- Developed a study incorporating recommendations on improving the climate responsiveness of Tanzania’s national safety net (PSSN), in particular regarding its public works and enhanced livelihood programs- Developed a thematic note analyzing the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR)’s World Bank-implemented portfolio use of nature-based solutions to target climate resilience, highlighting best practices and lessons learned during the ten years of PPCR/CIF-funded project implementation- Developed technical sectoral inputs for a Strategic Framework for Climate Resilience for Central America for the Social, Urban, and Rural Resilience Global Practice.Environment and Natural Resources Management including Marine and Coastal Pollution Management, Circular Economy and Corporate Environmental Compliance - Coordinated and led the operational aspects for the creation of the marine pollution area within the Global Partnership for Oceans (GPO) Secretariat. Specifically within the GPO Pollution Management Team, coordinated the technical team responsible for producing pilot studies such as the Water Quality Management Report for the Wider Caribbean Region and the Plastic Waste Management Pilot Program for the Magdalena River Basin in Colombia.
